Überblick

Die Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (BHS) ist die Nachfolgeausgabe der von Rudolf Kittel herausgegebenen Biblia Hebraica und bis heute die einzige vollständige wissenschaftliche Ausgabe des Codex Leningradensis, mit allen wichtigen Textvarianten und Korrekturvorschlägen im textkritischen Apparat.

Nach diesem Prinzip ist die Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (BHS) gestaltet, in der die Ergebnisse aus über 100 Jahren alttestamentlicher Textforschung zusammengefasst sind. Die BHS ist heute weltweit in Gebrauch und wird in allen Konfessionen als überaus zuverlässige Ausgabe des hebräischen Bibeltextes geschätzt. Sie bildet die Grundlage sowohl bei der Ausbildung von Pfarrerinnen und Pfarrern als auch für alle seriösen Bibelübersetzungen. Seit 2004 wird sie sukzessive durch die zunächst in einzelnen Faszikeln erscheinende Biblia Hebraica Quinta (BHQ) abgelöst.

    Take note that the formatting from the physical copy of the BHS is not retained. What that means is that poetry analysis becomes impossible as you cannot see the way the Masoretes separated lines.

    Acreditava que essa versão viria no meu pacote ouro do LOGOS (é a principal versão do texto hebraico). Como havia vindo a principal versão do texto grego Nestle-Aland, esperava que essa viesse também. Foi uma surpresa quando não veio. Eu compreendi que algumas coisas faltaram, e desde então venho esperando uma oportunidade de adquirir, mas sempre muito caro e não inclusa em nenhum pacote de Bíblia mais acessível. Bem decepcionante para os usuários isso.

    This was unusable for My hebrew studies. There was no Massorah or English and german to latin help as is all included in the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (Ediciones científicas de la Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft) (Hebrew Edition) Paperback – Print, January 1, 1997

    This is a very outdated version of the BHS, actually it's from 1967/1977. The traditional introduction has been cut out for some strange reason. I do however like it synchs very well with the Apparatus, but since the edition is so outdated the reader should now updates has been done since 1967/1977. That's why I give it only 2 stars. I also think the price was too high. To this price it's perhaps better to buy an up to date paperback version. As software this edition and Apparatus works excellent on my devices.
